Evidence Based Care.

My approach to therapy is grounded in evidence-based care. I draw from my extensive formal training background in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), behavioral activation (BA), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), psychodynamic psychotherapy, and mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) interventions to help my clients relieve emotional distress and practice healthier coping skills.

From exploring one’s past, and deliberately choosing what to keep and what to release, to learning effective skills and strategies to managing emotional pain in the present moment, I will work collaboratively with you to help you express your thoughts and feelings constructively within the safe haven of the therapy relationship.

I enjoy working with people across the lifespan who are going through periods of adjustment and transition, especially in navigating uncomfortable feelings at work, in school, and in relationships.

I believe in treating all people with compassion, dignity, and respect for their own agency in creating the change they need in their lives. An important part of my values is being able to provide culturally sensitive, trauma-informed care. We will tailor your therapy experience to your history, your life, your goals, and your values.
